Cameron Diwa, Research Assistant

Cameron Diwa is a research assistant at CCRC, where he studies the support networks of first-generation college students. He is also working on a paper on how the COVID-19 pandemic affected community colleges. His research interests include racial and ethnic inequality in higher education, and how it manifests in policies affecting Asian and Pacific Islander (API) students.

Cameron holds a BA in media studies from the University of California, Berkeley. He also earned two associate's degrees from Santa Monica College, where he spent the first part of his undergraduate career before transferring to Berkeley. After earning his EdM in sociology and education from Teachers College, he hopes to pursue his PhD in education.
