Tianshu Ma, Graduate Research Assistant

Tianshu “Lina” Ma is a graduate research assistant at CCRC. She conducts quantitative research on the behavioral economic framework behind how youth allocate attention in educational decision making and how reducing the cost of information gathering affects the decision-making process.

Prior to joining CCRC, Ma worked as a research assistant at the Stanford Graduate School of Education, where she analyzed the regional inequality created by the college admissions policies in China and the unbalanced distribution of educational resources in China.

Ma holds a bachelor’s degree in operations research from Columbia University and a master’s degree in engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. Ma is currently a PhD student in the economics and education program at Teachers College, Columbia University.
